fuming MAD!!!

Yesterday Liv attended a Halloween dance at school. She was sitting on

some gym mats w/ friends and decided to get up and socialize with another

group of friends. She stood up and began walking when she noticed that

this girl (still sitting on mat) began grabbing for her ankle (to sucker

trip her). Liv then began a quick sprint to avoid being tripped and while

Liv was in mid air (running) the girl grabbed her ankle!!! Thankfully,

Liv was fast enough to protect herself from a head injury and her back is

fine....But, when I picked her up from school, I could immediately tell

there was something wrong. She is unable to extend or bend her right

elbow fully and has a level 7 pain...I took her to the doc this a.m. and

turns out she has a radial head fracture on her right arm/elbow!!! This

juvenile delinquent caused bodily harm to my child....The other shocking

fact is that there were over 10 staff members and 8 chaperones at this

dance and not one adult did anything! There was no incident report filed,

NOTHING. I emailed the vice principle last eve and he said he would call

me this a.m. to sort things out...Needless to say, I never received a

call. I just left a massage with attorney. Im so upset, I can barely

contain myself!!! We also have a 504 in place that specifically states

that Liv should NOT be knocked down.

Any advice would be appreciated CAST mums...Im fuming mad and want to

handle this in an effective, intelligent manner. Im not feeling very

rational at this point. Im sure you all understand.

Liv is handling this far better than I am, at this point.
