Guest guest
, Addyson is in cast 7 and we have always had major gas issues. She will wake up at night crying and then have tons of gas. It always seemed that towards the end of a cast was worse but she has been way gassy this whole cast. It has to be something I just don't know what. Poor guy! He seems to get air trapped in his tummy and cant burp unless is pick him up. Anyone Had anything similar happen. this is Cast 5 and didnt seen this much change in the last casts. His Dr did say this is the because cast he has been in especially rotation so im thinking it may be a position thing.. Maybe Correction he has been sick twice because of the air in his tummy. he crys because he cant get it out and that makes it worse and once he burps he gets sick maybe from the pressure. he is fine other wise. the cast isnt tight.. im kinda stumped Mommy to Thaddeus 3yr

Guest guest
charlotte had lots of gas before the cast, but now i'm thinking it has become worse. she is always burping or farting. it is not just your child that has gas. when we are in a room and charlotte starts passing gas, adults always assume it is me. i just wave and smile. Guest guest
Hi there , Count my little Teddy among the super-gassy kids. His stomach is constantly making noises, grinding, churning gurgling -- he burps, etc. He's still in Cast #1, about to go into Cast #2, a week from today. His cast is indeed very tight. Teddy had huge first-cast, in-cast correction (from 61 standing to 21 in-cast, tho the in-cast was lying down, and it isn't clear to me what it would be in-cast if he'd been standing), and so I kinda figured everything was all twisted around in there, and constricted somewhat. He also had a bout of stomach-flu-bug-something, which was going around town. Like most kids, he threw up with this bug. Unlike most kids, he had blood in his vomit. They couldn't really find any scary reason for the bug. So we chalked it up to, " Hm, maybe a burst blood vessel. Hm, maybe his digestive system is all out of whack. " It's basically wait and see, around here..... best regards, Bess
Guest guest
Maisy is in her fourth cast and has a lot of gas, too. It doesn't seem to bother her, pain-wise with this cast, though. She would get tummy aches with her previous casts and would always want her tummy rubbed. We would also " burp " her like when she was a baby because that seemed to help her get rid of the excess gas in her tummy. With her present cast she doesn't need the help and has big burps and really powerful farts. I am wondering if it isn't because of the way this cast is so high up into her armpits and neck since she is getting closer to the correction she needs to having a removable brace. This cast seems to make her stand extremely erect and has made her tummy flatter rather than distended as in her previous casts. So maybe that's making things " flow " easier for her. > > Hey everyone, > > I have noticed in this cast Thaddeus has had a lot of gas.
