Guest guest
Hello,Tomorrow we are hoping to hear that our daughter no longer needs a cast. At our last casting, our doc said he was "pretty sure" this would be her last cast. The moment of truth is tomorrow, however, I know she will be progressing into a brace. I know there are so many types of braces. If anyone has experience of graduating from a cast to a brace, would you mind sharing your story? I'm interested in what types of braces your child used, how well he/she adjusted, and if the correction achieved through casting was maintained. I wonder if I'll get much sleep tonight!Liz From: rachelmjacobs <rachelmjacobs@...> infantile scoliosis treatment Sent: Monday, February 13, 2012 8:29 PM Subject: Terrified for tomorrow I know I can say this here and all of you will understand- my husband and I fly to Cincinnati Children's tomorrow morning for our first appointment regarding our daughter's IS, and I'm utterly terrified. I'm thankful we caught it early and am hopeful for her treatment, but that doesn't seem to lessen the anxiety. I'm sure I'll be posting with many more questions after our visit tomorrow!
