Dear Friends,

I received a very interesting message from abmd group regarding my son's

seizure-constipation issue.Perhaps you may want to read it.I thought about too

much MG issue but I wasn't sure. Before the third seizure I gave him 1 capsule

oxypowder,glycine,Kirkman's' Ca/Mg l;iquid.Here is the response;

saw your post on abmd.

he reason that he probably had the seizures was because of the oxypowder which

is a lot of magnesium. the magnesium and the glycine are 2 of the chemicals (in

the brain) that control the nmda receptors (which open and shut the gates that

are at the end of the neurons that connect the brain cells. this area also

controls the serotonin and dopamine, which are now going to be control by the

medication the doctor just gave for seizures). anyways, how much biomed are

you doing? do you see a dan dr? if so, consider taking this picture to your

dan dr (not the neuor, as they just don't get it), that shows how the nmda

receptors work.....it is from the lab metametrix. look at the lower left

diagram to figure out why the ratio of chemicals changes when you gave the

oxypowder (mg) and glycine and see what else you could supplement to even out

the change (even though calcium is needed, be careful, as calcium can blow up

the cells).

remember, i am not a dr, but a mom....so none of this is medical advice. my son

has been without seizures for over a yr now, with this knowledge and

supplementing him accordingly (between me and his dr) as well as increasing his

protein (more freq doses during the day). for the contipation, do you use any

digestive enzymes? my son used to be like that alot. we tried everything

(george's aloe juice, fruit-eze, oxypowder, h2go, smooth move tea, are miralax

(which is bad for you, but it worked for him for over a year)). we then had him

scoped (endoscopy and colonoscopy) by krigsman. he still had the symptoms

(severe, including kub xray showing impaction, multiple times) even though the

biopsies were negative. we tried the rx meds and it made his yeast much worse.

then, we tried houstons digestive enzymes.

wow. all of a sudden, my son was not constipated anymore. we use afp-pepizyde,

zyme prime and 1/2 no fenol (as my son reacts to more than that). we did try

the trienza (which is the 3 combined, but in different amounts than the single

dosing capsules. it did not help my son at all. so we have stayed with the 3

types individually at each meal and when he gets something he shouldn't (which

does happen), we give it immediately and it helps, but does not eliminate the

problems all the way (like tummy ache and diarrhea/constipation). some of the

pain is gone, which is better than nothing....so we really have to watch his

diet. good luck,

chris
