Hi all, The more I read these emails, the more nervous I get as I hadn't gone to any treatment for my son dio (18 month). I'm still waiting for his x-ray next month and see what the doctors have to say, my son has gained some weight during this few month so I can't see whether there is an increase in the curve, 6 month ago he is 11*. My main concern right now is due to treat him overseas with the mehta cast would cost a lot of money, and I still hadn't figure out how much it will be especially as a foreigner I would not have any medical insurance (the thought of this also has given me a stomach ache) , all I could do now is just pray and wait for a miracle to happened. Currently I treat dio as a normal child, he now able to run and play soccer although sometimes I recognized how difficult for him to balance between running and kicking the ball at the same time I hope this has nothing to do with his spine. I also learned the more I don't pay attention to it, the more normal he looks. I sometimes envy parents who have easy access to the cast as those in this mailing list, and I hope I can do the same.
