Guest guest
Thanks Sharon, Yes, I had in the back of my mind the fish oil theory too, but as you rightly said, we have been giving both eye q and cod liver oil for years. I did try adjusting the levels once or twice but we get stimming so I feel this like you that is not the answer but that it must be telling me something. Guest guest
He might well need Omega 6, EPO, Blackcurrant oil? This is what Willis told me and it worked ages ago, prime with Omega 6 before you load up the Omega 3 Mandi x In a message dated 26/05/2010 09:35:49 GMT Daylight Time, Thorpeheather@... writes: Yes, I had in the back of my mind the fish oil theory too, but as you rightly said, we have been giving both eye q and cod liver oil for years. Guest guest
My son had those spots on the backs of his arms and his cheeks despite giving lots of fish oils for years. We recently tried a different brand - Green Pastures Blue Ice Raw Fermented CLO - and the bumps are completely gone on his face and about 90% better on his arms. It also cleared up the large amounts of ear wax in my youngest son's ears which is also a sign of fatty acid deficiency. It tastes horrendous so I would recommend a flavoured one but it's more absorbable than other fish oils. I know another mom who swears by it for speech - my youngest has had a big speech surge but hasn't done much for my older son's speech unfortunately. I get it from Red23.comAutism Treatment From: Thorpeheather@...Date: Wed, 26 May 2010 04:35:11 -0400Subject: Re: Spots on upper arms Thanks Sharon, Yes, I had in the back of my mind the fish oil theory too, but as you rightly said, we have been giving both eye q and cod liver oil for years. Guest guest
hi, my boy has this as well. even whilst supplementing, no proof that our kids are 'using' the supplements. also no proof its a sign of detox or fatty acid deficiency. Guest guest
HiA while back (years now) my son was involved in a ground breaking fatty acid study run by Gordon Bell at Stirling and his bloods showed he clearly WAS benefiting hugely and using up the heavy fatty acid supplementation we were doing but needed constant replenishment in order to keep what ever was causing his fats to oxidise (and we know these kids are under extreme oxidative stress) at bay. Just a FWIW really, no answers. Will certainly be trying that fermented CLO though, good shout .Sharon Sent using BlackBerry® from OrangeFrom: "bbrowne123" <bbrowne123@...>Date: Wed, 26 May 2010 10:59:23 -0000<Autism Treatment >Subject: Re: Spots on upper arms hi, my boy has this as well. even whilst supplementing, no proof that our kids are 'using' the supplements. also no proof its a sign of detox or fatty acid deficiency. Guest guest
, Sam had this quite abit on his arms and face. I use the same CLO. How much do you give and how many times a day? Guest guest
Hi KirstyI started with 2ml each morning after breakfast which I think is the recommended dose and this gave us good results. I've increased to 2.5ml just to see if I get anything else! I give the liquid so it's easy to measure dosage (it comes with a syringe) but take the capsules myself. They also just started the butter oil, my older son loves it (raspberry flavoured) but it makes my youngest son gag. Hope the AIT is going well!xAutism Treatment From: kirsty.allen@...Date: Wed, 26 May 2010 12:07:17 +0000Subject: Re: Spots on upper arms , Sam had this quite abit on his arms and face.
