Guest guest
15 year old Tom is working so very very hard, he is obsessed with revision, he seems to be coping well (+ girlfriend age 17 years of 11.5 months duration and a recent job) but man is it all stressing me out. I worry about him not really taking a break and then now he's got this maths revision Cd on which is awesome but I find math terms scarey she keeps talking about things to the power of 8, I never did get that, what I got was Ungr................ I'm in two minds about this business of target grades, they say don't stress over it but Tom's is 11 A* + 1 A, he's sure he can get 5 A* 1 B and the rest A's which would be awesome but all this stems from predicted grades - so is it good they set his target high? Science teacher is really putting pressure on him to resit one of his ISA's because he ONLY got an A, I think that teacher should be spending his time worrying about the kids who are struggling instead of making Tom fret. Based on CAT scores Tom's year is the brightest they have had in 3 years and will have in next 3 years, I know they want to zap the grammar schools out of the water in results like they used to. BTW Tom says Revitapops help him concentrate, so do several of his friends Mandi x
