Leigh! Can I pass your email on?! I can think of many friends that would do this. On 2012-01-25, at 9:10 PM, leigh_d1971 <leigh_d1971@...> wrote:

Hi everyone,

My email tonight isn't related at all to our Scoli journey. Rather, it's asking if you have a little spare time, could you put a card/letter in the mail to a family who just lost a 5 yr old son to neuroblastoma.

Little Cole Stoddard was 3 yrs old when he was diagnosed with cancer in June of 2010. His mom, dad, twin brother Troy and sister Tara all began their journey of support, encouragement and sacrifice as they fought to save his life.

Unfortunately, heartbreak came this past weekend and mom updated her CarePages blog announcing Cole lost his battle... "I pray that I have helped families to slow down and enjoy their lives together. A hug, a book read, a smile, a lunch date, a school party attended, a simple "I love you" said. If I have helped you to see the importance of giving your child the time they deserve, it was worth sharing our story." "On the night before he passed struggling for each breath Col

e looked up ... and repeated twice, "Smile, Be Happy!"" ... "Yesterday morning I held Cole in my arms while Tony held his hand. Cole was comfortable and calm as his heart rate slowed. He peacefully went to Heaven... Cole taught us all to treasure each and every moment with our children and to always smile and be happy..."

The family buried Cole today..

While they struggle through these unimaginably difficult days, all she has asked is if people would keep her other two children in mind, 9 yr old Tara and 5 yr old Troy. They love letters in the mail (which were pouring in during all the family hospital trips) and she would love the kids to receive happy & silly cards that might even have notes and pictures from people around the world.

Our group is so always supportive, I thought some of us may have time to make some little kids days just a bit brighter. If you have time, please send to:
