Guest guest
hi my name is michelle martin and my daughter macy is 14 months old . I noticed macys curve when she was 6 months old and pointed it out to our family doctor he sent us to iowa city . xrays showed she had 30 degree curve and that doctor said she would prolly just grow out of it. she now is at 51 degree curve and we have been to a few different doctors . we had casting scheduled several times but our insurance wont cover it outside of iowa . we now are going to shriners in st louis and getting her first cast oct 31 st . does anyone else go or has been to st louis? have any suggestions for the first cast ? thanks michelle
Guest guest
Welcome to CAST, . Im not familiar with the casts coming out of St. Louis but it’s a bit challenging to keep track these days…(And, that’s a good thing!) I would consult with the doc prior to the 1st edf/Mehta cast application and make sure he/she is willing to trim proper windows (front & back), has the correct 3-D frame, and that your goals for treatment are the same. Please keep us posted and good luck!HRH From: infantile scoliosis treatment [mailto:infantile scoliosis treatment ] On Behalf Of Sent: Sunday, October 23, 2011 7:25 PMinfantile scoliosis treatment Subject: would like info hi my name is michelle martin and my daughter macy is 14 months old .
