child doesn't realize people are talking to ' HIM' HELP

hi gang...

one things that is becoming very clear is that in public Luke does not

realize that people are talking to him. today two women in a check out line

were telling him how handsome he was I had to prompt him to say thank you

and she asked him his name , he did okay, but then she kept talking to him

and he didn't realize it was to him...

sometimes someone say's something while he is engaged , but of course

strangers don't say " hey Luke " to get his attention first...

anyone have ANY ideas on a program to address this ever growing deficit????

I want to get on it and can't really think of how to address it in NET and

would prefer to teach without mass trialling...but I am open to any

suggestions...

social stories are not a big hit with Luke...although again if someone has

one around this issue I am willing to try many things...

its really setting him apart....
