Guest guest
Alys skin appeared the same way at first- almost bruised but not bruised. She wasn't sensitive or tender. It faded by the next day so I didn't think much of it. Hope that helps! Sent from my iPhone
Guest guest
The same thing happens to my son with every cast. It lightens up after a few days and is mostly gone by the time he gets his next cast. He is out for a week. I talked to our Dr when it first happened and although he couldn't offer a definitive explanation as to why it happens, he said it wasn't concerning. I would rather have a reason, but I trust him and seems to be okay, so that's as far as it went. Good luck with cast #2! Ann Boros www.curvybaby.comjayann_24@... We haven't been on here in awhile, so forgive me. got his first cast removed today, and he seems to be doing well. We go on Friday for cast #2. However, I was wondering if anyone else has seen the skin look as though the cast is "still on" in the front after removal. Here's what I mean: 's skin on his back looks almost normal colored. However, on his tummy ... you can see the entire outline of the front relief hole. The skin that was beneath the cast looks brown/purpleish in color. Is this normal? It does not seem to be tender, but I worry about poor perfusion. What are your experiences? Let me know! -+
Guest guest
That's what 's skin looked like after his first cast - his skin around his tummy was discolored and bruised at the top. His skin on his back why very dry and scaly. He also had a couple of pressure soars. He didn't have a tshirt with the first cast. He has had no problems since. Guest guest
Maybe a little flaring around the edges would help. HRH > Hi all!
