I had 13 years (to the day) when I found out about the hep c. I still smoke cigarettes and have no plans to quit; everbody needs a vice and that's mine. If I live I stay here with people I love; if I die I get a new body that doesn't get sick or age where there's no sorrow, no poverty, no crime, no war, no sorrow of any kind ... remind me, what is the down side?

Love,Di... and that's an order!(I wonder if anyone will notice)graymarshall@...

I

know I’m weird, but I quit drugs the day I decided to 20 years ago.

I didn’t drink the whole time I was married to the kids’ dad

because he was an alcoholic. I drank sporadically after I divorced him,

but quit before I started treatment. I admit that I pitched some major

drunks between diagnosis and starting treatment though – part of my grief

I guess. I was never a big smoker, and went back to it a couple times for

short periods, but just walked away from that, too.

I think the worst addiction seems to be cigarettes, but this is my second time taking Zyban and I have been cutting down for a year to quit smoking.I am smoke free three days right now and am hoping I will stay clear.I am not suffering the way I figured I would and that is due to the Zyban.I am eating a lot of peppermint though.

Let's keep our livers happy.

Many people here should be very proud of themselves for kicking their addictions and turning their life and those of there loved ones around for the better.

Cigarettes is an addiction too cause I can't quit.

We need to be open and honest with ourselves first and admit our problems before we can receive help and before we can help and support others.

We all make mistakes but some choose to not make the same mistakes again.

Have a Good Night.

Gail,

Hey Lady - just going through mail, it's been awhile since I've been on line, but, not as long as last time. (Thank Goodness) Anyway, I see that you are quitting smoking - I think that is wonderful and I do know just how hard that is to do. I have been a smoker since I was 19 yrs old, and I have quit a few times, but always went back for one reason or another. Now that I think back on it, I believe it was because I simply was just not ready to do so. But it sounds like you have been contemplating it for awhile, and I just wanted you to know that I will be praying for you and rooting for you all the way...

Hope all else is well for you - miss hanging out with you all in the group... My Mother keeps me hopping...

May God continue to bless and keep you all

Love, Hugs and Prayers

Marie
