Joy,So glad to hear that everything went well!And aren't kids fantastic?  Addie experienced the same thing at preschool - her classmates thought her cast (and now her brace) are " cool! " .

Something else to love about kids at that age - they celebrate differences, and think they are cool.  I know we all worry that our kids are " different " , but they don't care.  We (as in society) could stand to learn from our kids, couldn't we?

Just wanted to update you on Jaylin, my 4 year old

Today was his first day back to preschool with his first cast and everything went very good!! What we did was my husband was off work and stayed with me to see how everything was going to workout for him. Jaylin goes to the YMCA preschool and he attends school on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays with swimming twice a day on Monday and Wednesday. So what I'm doing is that time slot for swimming I'm keeping him busy with racquet ball, he absalutally loves it! When swimming is done then I take jaylin back to class. The teachers said they will help him with the restroom, he can pee by himself but he still can't reach his back side yet. He is doing very well for it. Still being new all for us and we have the great bunch of you to thank for it. I'm so glad this site is available for help and incouragement!

Oh and the kids at preschool thought it was the coolest cast ever!!!

Yay! Great update on Jaylin and his first day back to school. Sounds

like he is completely adjusted and that things are going well. Fabulous

news Joy! Way to grow Jaylin!
