hi Elaine

Have you thought of using homeopathics? apis mel is a rememdy for reactions like bee stings..and I know there are a few others... If you call Helios 01892 537254 and speak to the pharamcist they will remedy match for you... the homeopathics are good as they generally can be safely used alongside other therapies... If you ring before 4pm today it is possible they will have a remedy on your doorstep with tomorrows post.

Best Wishes

Tracey

PS in Africa we used to put lavender essential oil on our body to stop being bitten by mosquitoes.. and increasing garlic in diet can also make you less tasty to midges etc..  Have you any idea what is biting you?  at this time our delightful pets often bring fleas into the house and these can cause nasty sore bites too.

Hi,Wonder if anybody can help, both Callum and I are reacting really badly to bites this summer - and I'm not sure what's biting us, but the reactions are really nasty. The bite is severely swollen, red and extremely uncomfortable - I know it makes us both feel REALLY ill, and grouchy and both of us just want to sleep - I've been to the GP, but they say nothing we can do except put on cream.

Any ideas?Elaine

Hi Tracey,Thanks for this - no idea what is biting me, I have no pets - but I've felt things bite me outside of the house and thern really reacted - the same things must be getting both Callum and I - when I was in Indonesia when I was young I was really sick through bites - but I just can't understand what would be causing such a reaction in both of us in the UK - I shall invest in garlic caps again - stinky, but worth it! and I always have loads of lavender oil so shall try this as well as Helios - thats a great help, thanks again ... Hi Elaine,

I don't normally react to bites but had the same problem 4 days ago when

I was doing a bit of gardening..really swollen up, I felt ill too, and

like I couldn't breath. I rubbed in some coconut oil and the swelling

disappeared almost instantly.

I hope you both get the same magical results !

off the top of my head: anti-histamines. That sounds like an allergic

reaction.

I find lavender oil helps when I get a bad reaction such as yours to bites.
