Guest guest Posted June 25, 2008 Report Share Posted June 25, 2008 I just wanted to share something I concocted with you. I have a bunch of cucumbers and gherkins and tried to make pickles with whey. It was disastrous, mushy, slimy and I threw them away. Then I had an " AH HAH " moment. I slice up the cukes, put them in the jar and covered them with very vinegary KT. I added a little salt, coriander seeds and dill, let them sit at room temp about 3 or 4 days, then refrigerated. They are GOOD. Fairly crunchy and very sour and so easy to do.
