Guest guest
Just to put my two bits in, I don't like the sound of seizures increasing. I wouldn't want to assume it was a positive without getting it checked out. And not to be negative, but I don't see what leads to a conclusion that TST is working. To stop all other therapy and not to investigate the smelly stools and seizures would make me very nervous. Yes, the smelly stools may be TST working, but it could also be a pathogen - isn't it worth keeping an eye on it and possibly treating? Guest guest
Hi Abbie Seizures are very interesting.. and most recently we have begun to notice that sometimes there has to be seizure activity ahead of shifts and developments- The biggest gains we have had with our daughter have come after larger seizures... The brain is sensitive to all change even positive stuff. I If we had left it to the doctors.. on our journey, our daughter could potentially have been killed by their suggestions on two separate occasions,... so I come from a Doctors are the very last resort approach- This may sound alarming... however until the uprising of the drug companies, much of the complementary medicine was actually regarded as mainstream with hundreds of years of trials and tests. There is a critical balancing act between the oxygen the body can supply and the oxygen the body needs to use.. I am beginning to believe that most ASD kids have a greater demand for oxygen than the supply the body can sustain, and for epileptics, the seizures only occur when the demanded oxygen is lower than the reserve of oxygen in the body... More and more kids are being born with under developed diaphragms- Conventional medicine does not recognise this... and why should they when they can prescribe meds which give them cash into their back pockets...In order to really put down strong foundations for our kids. it needs to start with investing in getting the supply of oxygen to increase and to be fully sustainable by the body- Too much neural activity or physical activity increases demand for oxygen without increasing supply. If we get our kids to do too much, then the shortfall in oxygen is paid for by the oxygen to the diaphragm and the lungs... which long term reduces the supply of oxygen.. and is regressive. From our 15 month journey with TST, I can now see that bodies need to be alkaline, that until our kids can exhale properly to remove carbon dioxide, they will continue to be acidic, irrespective of what diet or what supps they take.Viruses, pathogens and bacteria can only exist in an acid environment.. I understand now why after spending £40k+ on our daughter she still has seizures... because the underlying issue, common in our children, is that she cannot breathe properly. 15 months on we can see big changes- real sleep, higher energy levels, more balanced speaking, more resilience, Less upset by loud noises. Stronger immune system- and these are changes we have had with TST..alongside a very nutritious diet. My views do not gain support from the conventional medicine fraternity- and at the end of the day, as I look at my increasingly bright and talented young daughter.. I am able to celebrate the gains we have had in such a short time with TST and NO Doctors in sight. Guest guest
Dear Tracey,I celebrate your daughter's progress - she's lucky to have you for a mother. And I also am a big believer in alternative medicine. I'm just concerned though that other children may have a more complex situation - i.e. pathogens in the gut which, if identified, could be killed by garlic or the like., but if left, could contribute to real problems. It seems to me that the etiology of autism varies so much from child, and that what heals one child may or may not heal a seemingly similar child. Very frustrating! Guest guest
Hello Tracey, I am also pleased and encouraged to hear the success of TST for your daughter. However I agree with Abbie, some kids have more complex issues perhaps like my son.He has too much alkaline body and low level of carbondioxide because of the hyperventilation. He is on the anti seizure medication and I believe it reduced dramatically the intensity of his seizures.Having said that I know the medication is not the solution, no cure,it just controls the severity of seizures! So, I am looking at all sort of therapies which may bring some goodness in his condition. After reading an article in Autism File,I contacted the Active Healing, talked to Sarge Goodchild and got the prior base line for movement therapy.I also once took my son to a chriopractor but I didn't like their harsh approach.Having said that my dr (neurolog) supports osteopathy, chripractor and I am aiming to get Brain Stem Function assessment from DrJulu at Breakspear Hospital.I also heard a therapy called " rolfing " and found a practitioner,it looks like more gentle approach! I've got funding for the TST and hopefully starting next week. This message looks like a bit summary of what I've done since my son's seizures started. He had many tests at the hospital everything came normal. But one particular test called red cell carbonic anhydrase showed that enzyme induction. This test was not done at the NHS. Focusing on a few therapies at the same time is a good idea I don't know but seizures are frigtening.I hope TST doesn't contradict with the other therapies like rolfing or chriopractice?? One more thing I read nutriiveda made a significant effects on one child's seizure, perhasp I should also discuss this with the doctor. I also understand that the reason for seizures are different for each child and all the trigger factors for seizures need to be considered carefully, that's my belief.Again, it depends on the seizure types perhaps, my son had grand mal type of seizures , very frigtening. We opened a new chapter in our battle with autism life, totally different angle we are on now. Guest guest
Hi Abbie Tash was a Chronic Candida sufferer.. had really bad viruses and big gut issues with black and gritty poos etc. I fully agree with your view that these are not good, however many of the drugs such as movicol and the pharma anti bacterials and the like can actually create huge toxic load issues for the Liver, and many report that once they are used their is a small improvement, and then they return. They only return because the body is not being strengthened to deal with and eliminate the pathogens, and remains too acidic - the ideal breeding ground for viruses, bacteria and pathogens. .. I know that if I had invested more time at the beginning in things like TST which powers to body to alkalise and increases bodies ability to detox and heal, our journey would have progressed quicker and much more cost effectively. I know now how this oxygen supply and demand see saw works.. and with hind sight had I understood this even last year, I would have paid better attention to the levels of mental and physical activity she was doing.. to keep her with more oxygen supply than demand. Guest guest
Hi Nevin Tatijana used to have grand mal seizures.. one lasted 90 minutes and these did not stop on their own.and this was very frightening. however with TST and cranial osteopathy she has had none- and the big seizures that she has had since TST have lasted a minute or so and she has come out of them on her own- and we have then seem some gains afterwards.. just is if her brain is uncrumpling. I am in favour of using a range of therapies, I simply believe that it is best to do a therapy for a while to see how well it is working,, too much too quickly and the body can be very stressed by it- and for our epileptic children, stress often means more seizures. I am so pleased to hear that your funding for TST. I hope that it helps with the hyperventilation as well as the seizures. Because it is a techique which detoxes the body, there are sometimes a few times when the seizures may become active. Guest guest
Hi Hannah Did you and your husband do the exercises too as part of the learning? IT detoxes in many different ways.. so I think it could be a healthy clearing rather than anything Sainsbury's stocks! I thought that we all ate something wrong because my husband and me felt not completely good as well.Hannah > > >> >> > Dear Tracey,> >> > My son has low muscle tone but I didn't see any changes there. > > On the other hand he was ill for almost 2 months.
