Guest guest
Yes, it does sound like a million years, ! Think about it this way though – my daughter wasn’t casted until she was 29 months. She’ll be 4 in January and is currently in cast #7. There is a LOT of growing still between 2 and 4. Hopefully when he moves into a brace, the wonderful correction Logan has achieved will be maintained…but you don’t want to miss any additional correction during growth spurts now. Hang in there, momma!! Sherry
Guest guest
Hi , That sounds great to me and shows that Dr. P is taking no chances. IMO and/or what I have been able to observe over the last decade is that a doc with experience will keep on casting.....Ive seen many docs stop prematurely only to find later that the curve regresses and the process must begin all over again...That is if they are willing. Remember, the spine, tissues & muscles must all be trained slowly to continue growing in the most correct position...I believe that your doc is taking no chances and that is fabulous. It will all be worth it friend. Hope you had a great holiday. HRH > Well Logan is in cast #11 now. > We are about 19 months of casting right now. I asked Dr P about how much > longer. Of course, he responded with " well, it depends on how fast he > grows " . I know that was the correct responce but this wait and wait and > wait some more is very daunting. Looking at logan's back it looks so good. > But Dr P says 2 or 3 more and then we will take an xray and see. That > should take us to around May I think....I think. That would make it about > 2 years of casting. > Does that sound like a million years in casting to anyone? or is that > about right?
