Guest guest
I have a hurt foot and haven't been able to wear shoes in a week (without pain.) Do you think it would be ok for me to do Push Circuit 3 barefoot or should I wait for my foot to get better? It is swollen from a bunion I have. I'm going back to my podiatrist this Thursday. Thanks, Jen
Guest guest
I wish I could help. I have no personal experience with bunions. I would imagine that your podiatrist will be able to answer that. Guest guest
Hmm.. I don't know Jen. What type of exercises are in Push 3? I'm guessing you can do weight training w/out shoes, in fact, some recommend it as a way of strengthening the feet. I say, give it a go and see what happens - if something doesn't feel right don't do it or modify it. Guest guest
I'm afraid to do weight training without shoes because knowing me, I'd drop a weight on my foot! I should be more worried about my face though (and maybe I should wear a mask). I banged one into my chin a few months ago and had a bump that wouldn't go away for months and then yesterday I hit my mouth with one and was terrified I might have damaged a tooth (luckily I didn't)! Guest guest
For me, I would without a doubt grab my weights and exercise. However, I know my body and I know I won't drop them. I'm 99% sure I have never dropped a weight. And what would the chances be that it would be on your toe??? I also would find a way to make it work so I wouldn't skip a beat. However, this is me, and I'm a die-hard I swing my 45lb kettlebell around without shoes. Kettlebell-work is supposed to be done that way though, or flat foot. Guest guest
I've had weights drop on various parts of my feet in shoes, plus of course, hitting my face twice and I seem to just get banged up (fingers getting pinched between weights, other things happening) in my workout room easily, possibly because it is very cramped in there but more likely because I'm a klutz! ;-) Usually it is when I'm shifting things around though, not usually during a workout (except the face thing... and you'd think I'd be able to avoid that because I should have seen them coming!!). I'd be going with cardio I can do barefoot, yoga, pilates or very light weights. Or, I'd just go buy new shoes!! :-) Kettlebell-work is supposed to be done without shoes??? I can't imagine it... though then again, those seem like you'd be less likely to drop?? I dunno, you're braver than me, Darcy and, no doubt, more dedicated too, then again, I also know my own history of dumb things that shouldn't happen happening!!! :-) Re: Question about doing CLX's Push Circuit 3 - please reply For me, I would without a doubt grab my weights and exercise. Guest guest
OMG about dropping all of those weights! LOL, I can't imagine. With a kettlebell, there is more chance it's going to get dropped because you are swinging it fast and sometimes throwing it, catching it, alternating hands..etc... Yes, it's recommended bare feet. If you must wear shoes, ones that are flat soled. Guest guest
I have to ask... WHY barefoot or flat soled shoes??? I don't know if I should do kettlebells, probably too dangerous for me!!! :-) Re: Question about doing CLX's Push Circuit 3 - please reply For me, I would without a doubt grab my weights and exercise. Guest guest
Thanks for sharing . I'm a big fan of barefoot! I think shoes are a large problem of why so many people have foot problems. Of course, I'm not an expert, but that is my personal opinion. I have also heard/read that flip flops are terrible for your feet. That is totally OT - but I always hated them, they make my foot cramp up big time. I love not wearing shoes, but I do wear them outdoors b/c I've gotten one too many splinters or other injuries from not wearing them.
