thanks for posting this Darla. We also had big succuss with it the first time around, used it for 3-4 months and then slowly phased out... Really great benefits, one odd thing is that 2-3 days into it he had 2 days of watery diarheah, completely liquid stools, after that his language started to pick up dramatically – from occassional single words to frequent 3-4 word sentences.

we tried it a couple of years later and didn’t see that much.

the only reason I didn’t try on myself was £$£, but now think I will next time flu strikes :)

last month I was ill for 2 weeks, interestingly exactly as you say I would be fine for 5-6 hours (only tired) and then high fever all of a sudden... No stomach problems, and appetite was fine, so not sure if the same thing as yours. This summer I had mild case of flu with sore throat and swallen lymph glands on the neck, GP said it was ‘most likely’ swine flu then...

Natasa

I had swine flu a few weeks ago and was very very ill very suddenly, I won't go into how ill I was but I would have ended up hospitalised if it has not been for Tamiflu.  I had all of the classic symptoms of swine flu so that's definitely what it was, I took Tamiflu within 10 or so hours of the onset of symptoms.  It worked within 3 hours and while it made me vomit it was far far better than the viral symptoms, I've never been so happy to be vomiting.  Anyway, I took the whole course of Tamiflu (something I never thought I would do) and still felt pretty rough even after 14 days of onset (still mostly in bed and any activity wore me out).

Most critically, I was also having this weird cycling of symptoms where I would feel better then bam, the symptoms of the flu would come back and I'd get a fever, etc for about 5 hours then it would go away.  This continued up to 21 days and I was trying to take some supplements, etc to get my health back but not seeing much change.

Then I took the Transfer Factor one morning - 3 capsules.  The symptoms completely stopped within the first day and I've continued the TF and felt better and better each day as far as my strength goes.

Here's the thing, I am so sceptical about everything, I never ever believe it when someone says XYZ produced miracles for my child.  I am a born pessimist.  I have read here time and time again about viral cycles in our children and I'm a bit, ho hum about it as it's so vague and not something I know anything about but now I guess I have had clear and obvious experience of it I can see how debilitating it can be for our kids and would definitely explain cyclical behavioural patterns.

I remember when we tried TF on years ago, he perked up dramatically and I continued it for a year or two, I don't remember how long exactly.  It was one of the things that tipped him over the edge as far as his chronic gastroenteritis was concerned.  It made a big difference for him.

Anyway, it's an intervention that is safe and relatively inexpensive (although not cheap) and worth trying.  Given this experience I think I've had a sobering up and a bit of a challenge to my chronic scepticism.  (I am chronically sceptical about biomed stuff even though, ironically we've been tremendously successful with our interventions!)

On reading this I realise that it sounds like a paid-for testimonial and a bit cheesy.  It's true and I don't have any interest in TF and I don't sell it just thought it might help someone.

I don't think there is anything specific that you need to supplement along with it and it was recommended that we give it in the morning and never after noon.  It is also recommended that you " pulse " it meaning give it off and on.  I didn't do this but I've heard that is how it is intended to be administered.

You can buy it at Mandimart.
