I have direct tv.. I saw this one channel they were talking about it.. Sounds good to me.. What got me is you can turn your tv into a computer!!! I think it was channel 200 some thing ..We resently got broad band.. Reese got his computer for Christmas.. Ask if they have that!!! Hey Boo, we don't have direct TV.. do the Netflix instead, no commercials. That is DSL you get from them as I understand. Wireless is different than satellite but would do nicely if some company would decide this is not the moon up here... grrr

I am looking for info from people who use the satellite. I have heard there can be problems with it and haven't had enough time to check it out closely with my 26.4 powerful modem lol.

This is obviously off topic, but does anyone use satellite for internet? I would love to hear experiences, +/- and all that stuff.

Reason being, I got all excited recently because DSL finally came to our small town. I broke dialing records to sign on but was told I live too far out. There are two wireless companies local, but neither serves this far out of town. Or this far up I should say... we are about 2,000 ft above the town. Due to poor phone lines my 56K modem can only pull in a whopping 26.4KBS. If I need to pull a slow page up, I go start laundry and check with puter now and again, lol (sob).

had a friend that tried it when she couldn’t get DSL. She wasn’t

crazy about it, but it was better than the alternative – dial up.

Thanks De... I am in the same situation as your friend. Now just a matter of trying to pick a reliable company that doesn't cost an arm and leg. Guess I had better pay off my credit card before making changes.

Hey again Boo... been gone hauling critters and doing the domestic thing.

Yup I have a phone up here, but what is sbc??

The dish network is what people around here get and they offer dsl... must differ from area to area.

things here are going. Feels like I have been half sick for months. My brain is fuzzy with rare moments of clarity. Ok, maybe not quite that bad, but almost lol. Very tired all the time, too. Am just past 3 months off tx and know I will improve. But, I want it all and I want it now! snivel, sob lol

Am feeding one baby Tiel now and will pull 3 more this time next week. cute fuzzy little things. Much easier than kids, by far! Not to mention I can lock them up when not feeding or playing with them .

Youngest stud (llama) has discovered the joys of jumping fences. No real harm, just gets the girls excited then goes for the hay bales. (Boy is there room for a joke there, lol)

I have a bell express vu but it will cost me about an additional 70 dollars to get it per month on top of the amount I pay for my tv service.Needless to say I can't afford that much.I have got 56K computer but can only get 28.8K cause I live out in the country.Hope it is cheaper where you are.
