It could be pressure from the brace also. Is it all over or just in spots? Does

it go away quickly or linger after the brace is off?

Hi everyone,

She does wear the knit-rite shirt under the brace. Is the redness normal? or

might she be allergic to the knit rite shirt?

Hi ,I don't think that's normal, based on our experience. Just my 2 cents- Bex has a bit of redness where the strongest pressure point is on the brace. Hi ,

I vaguely remember the same happening when my daughter went from the cast to a

brace.

They said it was a different type of pressure exerted on the skin... I don't

think it lasted more than a day or 2 though.

Thanks, everyone,

It might just be the pressure from the brace because the redness occurs when we

take the cast off also, but she's really itchy and tries to scratch, so I might

try just a cotton undershirt instead of the knit-rite and see how it goes - I'll

keep you posted.

I am sorry i never got back to you.... It could be a combination of the shirt

and just general brace stuff. My son always wore tshirts under his brace. He

sweats a lot so we put a t under the brace and nothing over it. When we tried a

knit rite shirt he was also red red red! I think he sweats too much to wear one

even though it's supposed to wick moisture away from the body. He always had

little red pressure blotches that would go away about 30 min after brace

removal.
