There are a few moms on here who use cloth diapers. I was looking into it a few months ago and Jenn Leggett was IMMENSELY helpful with information and suggestions. I can't think of any reason you would need to stop the cloth diapering ... I think it is more an issue of finding a type of cloth diaper that works for you. Personally I can say that we have had less leakage issues with the cloth! :)

Cloth diapering and Mehta cast

Our daughter (15 months) will have her first Mehta cast placed next month. We currently cloth diaper (bumGenius) during the day and use disposables (Huggies overnights) at night. Additionally, our daughter wears a Rhino Cruiser brace at night for hip dysplasia.Has anyone used cloth diapers with a Mehta cast? I searched the message board and found some discussion on this earlier this year. Does anyone have additional information? If the best thing for the Mehta cast is to use disposables, that is ok, but we would like to continue cloth diapering if possible. Thanks.

I cloth diapered my son with his Mehta Cast.  You should be fine.  What I did to accommodate was drop the rise setting down to the lowest height setting and just make the waist bigger.  This allows the diaper to sit right below the cast.  We were able to do that until he was potty trained and it worked wonderfully.  We actually used their Flip system, and since it is the same company and the same fit I can't imagine it would be a problem. We also tried disposables with the cast and the cloth worked MUCH better for us.

Feel free to email me. jennifer.leggett@...Jenn Mommy to Cole and Max

I have some whisper wraps if you want to try those over the cloth diaper. If I

dig I may even have a g diaper or two which come w an internal snap in plastic

liner that you place a cloth diaper sorta like a pad if that makes sense. If you

need a variety to try out post cast let me know.
