I got out of work early today so that meant I had more time at home which also meant, I could do a longer workout but I didn't have it planned too far until I got into it. So, here's what I did:

Crunch: Cardio Sculpt (Violet Zaki) - decent 30 minute total body workout plus cardio intervals. Not great though. Some of the cueing was nonexistent, especially when they were compound movements that needed more cueing, most of it was good. The cardio was super simple but intense. A low impact modifier is shown too. One thing I liked a lot was that while the strength moves were mostly compound, she often demonstrated once, then had you do it with her in pieces and then put it all together. For some people this would probably be boring but it was very good for me. Unfortunately, her cueing during the put together parts was lacking so I sometimes wasn't sure what we were supposed to be doing. It is simple enough to catch onto though. A lot of the movement combinations were very different than what I've seen before and that made it that much more confusing but also interesting. Violet is okay. I'm not sure I'd seek out workouts by her, she seemed tough, like Jillian s but somehow didn't appeal to me as much. I'm not sure if I'm going to keep this one. I liked the length for a quick day, with the right weights the exercise are effective, the cardio was good but very short which seemed strange because it has cardio in the name. I think I have other workouts of this length and type that I enjoy more so I'll have to think more about if this needs to stay on my shelf or not.

Day 3 of 5 Day Abs: Cardio Sculpt had a short, okay abs section at the end but I had planned to do this anyway so I just did it. This was my first time through this 6 minute, non-stop routine led by .OUCH! It was great! You do not get a break until the stretch at the end! She seemed to have this look on her face and tone to her voice too that seemed like she was really enjoying making you suffer (because she knew it was super effective too) which I found funny. I'm getting used to the boy toy that introduces the segments too and even liking to see and hear him now.

I felt like I didn't get enough from Crunch: Cardio Sculpt plus my HRM was telling me I was really close to getting in 200 calories worth of work so I wanted to do more! I added on the first workout (Slow and Steady Burn) from 10 Minute Solution Carb Burner. I was feeling quite energetic too so I added a lot of propulsion to the moves. When I finished that one I was actually getting close to 250 calories so of course, I wanted to get to that nice round number (or near it) and really needed a lot more stretching so I also did the 10 minute stretch from Austin's Blast Away the Pounds Indoor Walk plus a few more minutes of stretching afterwards for my hamstrings which are very tight.

So... my quick in between stuff workout turned out really great, lasted over an hour and I burned almost 300 calories doing it!
