Thanks ! She really does well at her dancing. I will have to get the video up so you can see her "Spice Up your Life!"

She has not learned the 2 wheeler yet. That will be a goal this summer after her surgery this Friday. She is afraid to fall - but sometimes you have to in order to do things! Guess we will work on this together!!

These are priceless, Gail! Dancing must help so much w/ self esteem! She looks awesome! Has she learned how to ride a 2-wheel bike? The reason I ask, is because Im still tryin to teach Liv and its sooo hard. She is feeling defeated/frustrated about bike riding and I just cant let her give up. I keep telling her that it will be so worth it…Just to have the wind in her hair and to experience the freedom and adrenalin from going as fast as you can down a hill…..

This doesn’t get easier as they get older. Not for us. Im grateful we are not in hospital every 3 months anymore, but this adolescent angst, combined w/ the stresses of severe scoli as a girl, is NOT easy at all.

HELP!

Please do!  I would love to show Liv…Im also going to let her know that will be working on mastering a 2 wheeler this summer, too.  Liv is a teen now and she is super frustrated w/ this bike thing.  Does anyone out there have a child w/ scoli who can ride 2 wheel bike?  If so, do you have any pointers? Thanks!HRH From: infantile scoliosis treatment [mailto:infantile scoliosis treatment ] On Behalf Of GailSent: Monday, June 06, 2011 3:12 PMinfantile scoliosis treatment Subject: RE: 's recital Thanks ! You know, my son also had a hard time with bike riding too. He was in PT and OT for awhile because of his Sensory Intergration Issues and they actually taught him to ride his bike.

I am thinking of calling and seeing if I can get some tips!

If you find out anything useful please let me know.   Liv was actually a bit mad at me before she left on holiday because she felt I was pressuring her too much about learning how to do it.  She’s had the bike for at least 3 wks and she has only been on it 3 times!  I fear if she doesn’t get it now, she may never get it….(?)Could be wrong though….HRH From: infantile scoliosis treatment [mailto:infantile scoliosis treatment ] On Behalf Of GailSent: Thursday, June 09, 2011 11:02 AMinfantile scoliosis treatment Subject: RE: 's recital You know, my son also had a hard time with bike riding too. Try Pedal Magic! I got it with my oldest when he was very frustrated with trying to ride a 2-wheeler. It really works! Worth a try, anyway. It's basically these quick, easy exercises. It worked with my 2 oldest kids...then the next 2 just taught themselves on the grass...!http://www.pedalmagic.com/~ : )From: Hyatt
