Guest guest
Well, I took Liv to therapy today..........I used to take her to play therapy as a child in a effort to minimize the trauma she was continually undergoing, but it never seemed to resinate and she semed to be a happy kid...considering...Over the last 6 months she's been dealing w/ the bullying issue at school (which she is still not backing down to) and last week I could tell she was really down in the dumps. I asked her what was up and the tears began to flow. " I hate my back and I hate living like this! " I tried not to cry myself as this has always been the worry. I kept it together, but decided that a pro active stance on her mental health and confidence maintenence would be best. To make a long story short, her 1st appt. was today and it went well. I loved the therapist and am looking forward to taking this approach in trying to ensure Liv doesnt internalize all this negative scoli stuff. Gosh, this teen stuff is soooo hard. The make up, tight clothes, talking back, wanting to be w/ friends 27/7........Dont get me wrong, Im not complaining....Just grateful to have a typical teenager, I guess. Thanks for listening.
