I wish.... The supplier I was using is a local chinese grocery. I was...using

caykur spezial tea. They are no longer seeming to stock it. I have asked, they

say it's ordered....still no tea. Bad thing about this is... not only was I

using it for my KT but my wife and I have really!!!! developed a taste for this

as a hot tea. The taste is wonderful!!!! So.... out of desperation I bought

some " Ceylon Red " " opa " also makes a very good tea.....I hope to find the

caykur... again soon.....

Awhile back you mentioned using Turkish tea. Is it Rize tea? Is there

a source you recommend? Does it brew the same?

Thank you!

Don -- Thank you. I'm sorry you haven't been able to continue to get

your tea locally. That is so frustrating! I ran across this on

amazon.com:

http://www.amazon.com/s.html?ie=UTF8 & me=A2BKB0504JEUZV & brand=Caykur

Is this your tea?

Hi Don and Lois,

There are some Turkish online stores you can buy tea ,also you may be able to

find a turkish store depending on where you live. Like in NJ I go to one in

Cranburry, and there are many in and NYC. If you need

help locating one in your area, I can help to find if there is one...

Below are 2 Turkish online stores:

Gul

Holmdel, NJ

Gul -- How thoughtful! Thank you. Would you consider one of these

sources over the other? Do you make kombucha with Rize or the other

Caykur teas?

If I understand correctly, there are no sprays on the plants themselves

and nothing added to the teas.

In looking for Rize, I found that wikipedia has a small and interesting

article on the area of Turkey where the tea is grown and even ran across

a tea blog <http://100percenttea.blogspot.com/2007/07/turkish-tea.html>

created by a Croatian professor -- who has included a kombucha how-to

from YouTube. Fun.

When I start making KT with Rize, I'll be thinking of you and of Don --

Blessings!

Lois,

I have not shopped from any of those site. And I am not using Tukish tea either.

Rize is a city in the eastern Blacksea Region. Caykur is a government owned

(I believe it still is owned by Turkish Government)leading tea company in

Turkey.

On an internet site (which was in Turkish ) it says that they do not use any

chemical spraying in the northern part of Turkey for farming. So Tea should be

safe too.

I hope this helps:)

Greetings from NJ

Gul

YES!!!! That's it! It's the one with the picture of the glass of tea on the

front. That is a wonderful hot tea. Sure blows away lipton. I guarantee one

cup of this hot and you'll never drink lipton again. OOPS I hope I can say

that...

Don

The bottom link is the one that shows it. I just wish I could get it locally.
