For those of you that havent visited the site www.hepnet.com check it out, there is so much info although Im off tx there is so much more to learn and Im still trying to pin point symptoms I have post tx(posttreatment)

Thanks Pat, my biggest problem right now is extreme fatigue and weakness. I am severely overweight, but once I started on the treatment I slowly got weaker and weaker, now I can't stand in the shower for longer than 2 minutes without feeling like I'm not only going to faint but that my legs are going to give way. Hubby has been giving me sponge baths but I just don't feel as clean as when I can scrub myself down, plus there is my hair. I can't stand up long enough to wash and condition it. I'm going to the Dr's tomorrow, but when this illness starts to interfere with my personal cleanliness or is it? I can't find this side effect anyplace or at least not this severe. I can sit up for quite awhile but not doing anything major with my arms. I'm just in so much confusion and depression. Thanks for listening.

When I fel like thatt on treatedment they found my white blood cells were under 1 , the dizziness can be a warning of abnormal bloodwork . Made sure to tell your doctor ....Anya/SpringGoddess <anya@...> wrote:

Anya, have you tried putting a stool in the shower to sit on? those outdoor ones, made of plastic work real well, them you can shower sitting down. Your doctor should have put you on antidepressants a month before you started tx. Depression is a really big side effect from tx. The weakness may not be from tx. It could be from the HCV itself. I go weeks without washing my hair or doing the laundry - it's just too much effort. I tell myself I'll do it tomorrow but tomorrow never seems to get here. Remember, we're here for you whenever you need us.

Please let us know what the doctor says,you may be anemic, my doctor put me on amandatine(sp), and it helped me during this weak phase of treatment...ask your doctor about this med, many take it on treatment to help.

its so scarey to think your going to fall down and break something, we dont need this on top of all the other sides we are going through, I remember hanging on to the side walls in the shower, and taking it very slow, I would also take baths because I got to this point .Just try and bathe for now, are you eating regularly??? What are ya eatin? There are many foods that are very hard for the liver to breakdown too...makes the liver work harder...

Just take it slow and rest & sleep as much as your body is telling you too...Let us know...Hugs, Pat

I’m

pre-diabetic. That’s what made me lose the weight. I started

out doing south beach & lost 43 last year & stalled out. My A1C

was worse after 6 months even though I’d lost the weight do the dietician

started me on carb counting. My sugar got better, but I gained 5 lbs back.

A friend got me started using a vitamin/fiber supplement called ReLiv a couple

months ago and I now have very little appetite, have lost the extra weight &

more and my fasting sugars and A1c are better than ever.

It

was a different world when we were strung out. We never thought or cared

about mortality or blood-borne diseases. AIDS didn’t exist so sex

wasn’t deadly either. It scares me thinking about the people (our

kids, if they’re doing it) doing meth today that’s being made with

household chemicals in bathtubs.

So about this surgery, you can write me offgroup if you like, I have an appointment on June 19 to see the bariatic surgeon in and I'm not sure about keeping it or even about doing the surgery..I'm confused and frightened too.
