Guest guest
Jonas got his 6th cast in SLC on Monday. Dr. D' was able to get him from 33 degrees in his last cast down to 25.7 in his new " Buzz Armor. " (It is lime green w/ 2 Buzz Lightyears modge podged to the sides) We are very excited to see any correction at this point since we started at 73 degrees and this is only our 2nd true Mehta cast. While we were in SLC we got the results of Jonas' MRI from last Thursday. It had been a year since his spinal cord detethering surgery. The results showed that the spinal cord has NOT retethered and his syrinx and minor Chiari have remained the same! We are excited b/c this means we can keep casting and not have to worry about another neurosurgery at least at this point! The best part of our trip to SLC this time was that Jonas was able to see & play with 2 other children in casts just like his! There were also some very encouraging stories to hear from other families on this particular day. Hollie Mama of Jonas 2 1/2 yo. 25.7 degrees down from 73 in cast #6 SLC.
