I would like to recommend taking benadryl when you have a reaction.

This is because if your body goes on making histamines you could get

hyper sensitive. This means your body will later say oh wait a minute

that compound is related to the thing I had a reaction to so we need to

get it too! This will help control your body having a more severe

reaction in future detoxing.Melody

On the other hand, isn't the whole point of Alternative Medicine to get away

from all the pharmaceuticals?

If you are experiencing a true allergenic reaction, I may tend

to agree with you. However if the symptoms are from a

" Healing Crisis " than one would want to suffer through it

and treat by decreasing the amount of kombucha tea and

increasing the amount of pure water intake. The duration

of the healing crisis should be short term, typical only a few days.

In a Healing Crisis your body is not responding to the introduction of

kombucha tea but rather to the sudden release of the stored toxins.

Your body had these poisons contained, therefore there was no

" known " affects prior to the introduction of kombucha

Benadryl should not be used while pregnant or nursing. And

used in caution for those over 60. Should not be given to

children under 6 years of age. (USFDA)

As a side theory, an alternative to benadryl would be to find

someone who is actually true allergenic to kombucha tea and

to make a homeopathic nosode. Taking the nosode would

achieve the same effects you expressed.

Thank you Ed,

Yes , I am well over 60 so its a good thing I have dropped that method of

treatment from my routine.

and decreasing the KT and increasing the water is exactly what I did during my

time of " crisis " .

Allergies, as you have so clearly stated are another matter altogether, but Im

here to tell you that the medical

model of how to treat an Allergy would be the quickest form of DEATH for me.

I am missing the enzyme that allows the body to recover from adrenaline spikes,

and guess what the standard treatment for allergies is? You guessed it

EPENEPHRINE ! Results for me is pushing the limits for massive heart

failure. This is just one of Many reasons

why I chose the Alternative Model quite some time ago- but as I stated in my

last post it has come gradually and in stages.

Our body is designed quite well to heal itself. We just have to get out of

its way and allow it to do its job.

MOST of what modern medicine does is to actually interfere with the healing

process not enhance it.
