yeah, i tried that first, but i found that lots of the yeast strains

would still pass through-so i switched to the tea towel for a finer

strain. now i have very clear, approachable kombucha and am hooking

people left and right-sometimes they take a second glance when they see

the babies brewing, but...

Here is the US a 'strainer' is a 'colandar', as well.

At least this is true in my part of the country.

'Sieve' is an old-fashioned term, maybe unknown to some, but I've

always undersood it to another name for a 'strainer'.

As we call strainers 'colanders' OR 'strainers' here in the UK and

a 'sieve' nowadays is usually made of plastic with a nylon insert in

the UK.

I go out my way to find the bottles with the baby scobys so that I may eat

them. They are like kombucha gummy candy to me - especially my strawberry

secondary ferments!

Is there a walmart item number? I looked everywhere at our super walmart last

night and found nothing..
