Guest guest
Hey, I don't get much chance to post since I am working too much but I thought I would post something positive. When we found out that Gabi had scoliosis, I tried to steer all of my girls away from the gymnastics they were doing into something that they would all be able to participate in. I suggested Irish Dancing to my oldest daughter as the back is kept very straight and there is not a lot of arm movement (Gabi has deformities in her shoulder as well). So, my oldest daughter tried it and loved it. She has been doing it for 7 years now and Gabi is doing it as well. Gabi does not always want to go to class as it is hard for her, due to memory issues, but it has been very good for her. She has to remember all the steps and this forces her to use her memory. I am including a link to my oldest dancing at a recent show, she is the darker one in the purple dress. She really loves it and since she is 16 it gives her something to do as she has to do many shows and competitions on the weekends. She also helps teach the classes sometimes. Happy Spring to everyone! http://vimeo.com/21244429
