Guest guest
Hi....I am new to the group and tried to look for this answer before posting a question. I'm sure this has been addressed in other messages.....I just was not able to find them right off and feel an urgency to get her off this medication. My mom is 93 and has been on Zocor for a couple years. Her memory is now so bad that it is difficult to sometimes have a conversation with her. She is otherwise a very active woman who still drives herself to the store and church and rakes the yard, etc. She is also experiencing muscle weakness and other symptoms listed as side effects of this drug. Anyway....I am trying to get her to quit the Zocor and am wondering if there are any precautions to just quitting cold turkey. Is it better to cut back gradually?? Thank you in advance for any advice. Patti
