I am to have a neurologist call me back next week to schedule an angioplasty on my carotid arteries at OHSU in Portland.My local cardiologist and local neurologist wants me to take Crestor at 10 mg. I have agreed to try it out for awhile to see how it effects me.I am taking Zestril for high blood pressure and they just increased the mgs on that to 10 from 5 to see how I tolerate it ... so far it is working great and my BP was 118/78 at rest in my cardiologists office at my appointment.And of course I am taking Plavix for the blood thinning and that is working good too.Just waiting to hear about the angioplasty right now and time marches on.I have lousy stability and my legs are weak. I feel so uncoordinated at times but I keep my walking up hopefully to build up strength but everyone says that the weakness, memory issues and other things are all residuals from the stroke.Having a brain stem stroke and living through it can be a challenge at times.Just wanted to say hi to all out there.I am still kicking.
