Guest guest
Are NNT scores printed on the package insert of the drugs? I am pursuing NNT scores and plan to bring them to the front center stage in cholesterol forums across the net. People deserve to make informed decisions. I called abbott labs about the niaspan I took and asked about NNT scores. They were unable to comment citing they did not know. Or at least this employee of Abbott did not know. Guest guest
Sure, here is a link to an article in business week magazine titled DO CHOLESTEROL DRUGS DO ANY GOOD? By far this article is a winner, and I give it five stars. Let me know what you think. http://www.businessweek.com/magazine/content/08_04/b4068052092994.htm Bobby > > > > > > > > > What is an NNT score? > > > > > > > > > --- In Lipitor , " flyinresorts " <flyinresorts@> > > > > > > > > > > > Everyone might be interested in this: > > > > > > > > I have been active on the webmd cholesterol boards hosted by Dr. Richman who operates the lipidcenter In Los Angeles. (lipidcenter.com) > > > > > > > > Richman is in the cholesterol lowering business blaming LDL as the cause of plaque build-up. He has an online store as well. Clearly his livelyhood is dependent on peoples perception that they must lower LDL to very low levels ( 30-40 mg/dl) to lower risk of a heart attack. > > > > > > > > When I post on Webmd, I remain professional and never attack or slander. My posting gets deleted. (I reposted and we will see what happens.) > > > > > > > > What happens when I post a link to people sharing their side effects from statins? The cholesterol lowering business is all about money. I find no integrity in it at all. > > > > > > > > Bobby > > > > > > > > > >
