Seems to me that I've always had that itchAnd I'll be forever looking down that roadEspecially when life's being such a bitchWant to travel so bad I'm about to implode-Need to discover what's 'round that cornerWhat surprises are there waiting for meViews along that road tempt one to lingerBut I'm not stoppin' an that's a guarantee-Cuz there's way too many places to goMany kings and paupers to meet and greetBe wined, dined, warmed by a fires glowTo laugh contagiously without any conceit-Allow a tear to show if sadness be nearBut face all challenges with anticipationCause they bring adventure and not fearLife on-the-road is filled with exhileration-Trying to satiate my unquenchable curiosityAnd maybe fulfill that never ending questInfiltrate hearts, an minds' sans animosityTo gather many friends from east to west-If we could assemble in one great placeTo meet the facinating people out thereAn have time to savor one sweet embraceWe could make this world easier to share-An as we travel this aimless twisting roadTowards our legacy the future generationOur spirit of discovery will carry the loadTho the route seems without a direction-Our indomitable heritage will find the wayWe're all hobo's at heart right from birthAncesters instilled the desire on that dayThey gathered all that they were worth-And struck out for the unknown alone

Climbed aboard ship, or prairie schooner

Maybe with just a horse, a dog an a bone

But they were coming, later or sooner-And get here they did, our ancesters allFightin' an scrappin' til molded into oneThe white, black, yellow, thin, short an tallAn don't forget our brave proud native son-So let us on this years July 4th celebrationSalute all who's fortitude opened the doorTo discover and forge this great nationThey who heeded a hobo's call to explore
