I feel 100% better, no more muscle weakness, no more leg cramps, I can bend over and tie my shoes without wrecking my back. I told my wife last week that I haven't felt this good in years.   I think we underestimate that the body can repair itself if given  the opportunity, but sometimes just needs a little help to jump start the healing process...   I drink plenty of water, take an 82mm aspirin, CoQ10, Serrapeptase,  and a quarter tablet of the smallest dosage of a Beta Blocker available.   I work everyday in my shop building furniture quality garden gates  and am restoring my 1948 Ford F1 pickup. You can go to my Facebook page and see the gates and other stuff plus the F1 project.   I'll be 70 in February   Lee...   On 9/12/2010 4:30 PM, Jack wrote:  I recently visited with an MD who relies primarily on homeopathic remedies.  I had a heart attack last Christmas, received two stents and am on standard meds, including Vytorin. I have minimal or no side effects, am excersizing up to 1 hour per day, and have lost 15 pounds due to improved diet.  My question to the 2nd opinion was: which has a greater risk-- the side effects of statins or chance of a second (fatal) heart attack? Though not a cardiologist, she believed that my family history, high lipid profile, and having had a heart attack indicated the better risk is at least for now, is to take the damn (my word) statins and keep up with to CoQ10 and exercise.  Comments anyone?  Jack in Reston, Virginia   ------------------------------------
