Guest guest
Just wondered what peoples thoughts were on the theory of dark matter and dark energy that currently is accepted as explaining the universe? and yet there is no conclusive proof (but then is it possible to have conclusive proof of anything - really?), because as of yet they haven't been able to detect this elusive dark matter. Is it just a convenient theory that just happens to fit? Without it then the universe just does not make sense and Newtons laws without dark matter and dark energy must be incorrect? It also ties in with the big bang theory - I am a little sketchy on the big bang theory - what caused it? - if there was nothing before, how can something come from nothing? If anyone understands the big bang theory please try and explain. Also it has been observed that our universe is speeding and expanding (I believe) - which is no surprise to me :-) for some reason - but like will it slow down? - will it get faster? where is it heading? when will it hit the brick wall :-) Also where does string theory fit in with all this? Or doesn't it? Thoughts? - ideas? theories? anyone? Do you agree with any of it?, some of it? none of it? I am as ever confused :-)
