Guest guest
Thanks Gayle. I will check out the articles you suggested. I too was wondering about Ed. Is there anyone who knows how he is doing and can let us know? From: gayles57 <k0fly@...>Subject: Re: So distressedLipitor Date: Thursday, February 3, 2011, 7:12 PM Hi Denese:It sounds as if your doc got sucked in to the Jupiter Trial garbage hook, line, and sinker. Remember that Crestor was the drug that was used in that trial, C reactive protein was one of the things measured. The low TG number indicates that you are not eating the bad carbs. From Dr. 's heart scan blog here are a couple of his articles relating to your concerns, you may find them useful.http://heartscanblog.blogspot.com/search/label/C-reactive%20proteinhttp://heartscanblog.blogspot.com/search/label/Apoprotein%20BI too am wondering how ED is doing.RegardsGayle> > > From: -Sophia <mss529g@...>> Subject: Re: So distressed> Lipitor > Date: Wednesday, February 2, 2011, 11:12 AM> > >  > > > > > , > > I joined the group when my mother was having problems. I don't keep up on all the postings, but something made me read yours. Your doctor's behavior is shocking, but unfortunately probably pretty typical. Good for you for standing up for yourself. Keep it up. Learn about NNT (Number Needed to Treat) statistics for drugs. You will be shocked. I bet your doc has no idea what the NNT is for any of the dangerous chemicals he wants you to swallow. > > > > If I were you I would be spending my enery exploring "alternative" medicine. I am learning about reiki, acupuncture, meditation, nutrition, etc. Did you know that nearly every herb used for flavoring food has a medicinal property? Lets get healthy by reducing our stress levels, tuning into the natural healing energy we all have, and learning non-toxic ways of healing ourselves.> > >  > > > > From: Manzari <dpmanzari@...>> Lipitor > Sent: Tue, February 1, 2011 6:49:51 PM> Subject: So distressed> >  > > > > > > > Hi all,> Hope you are doing well. Guest guest
Hi Jack.I'm sorry that you had a heart attack. If I may ask, do you know what your HDL and TG numbers were before you started taking the statins? Thanks,Sent via BlackBerry from T-MobileFrom: "Jack" <moore3@...>Sender: Lipitor Date: Fri, 04 Feb 2011 18:02:55 -0000<Lipitor >Reply Lipitor Subject: Re: So distressed Hi, —I too missed your previous email, but am motivated to respond today.I am taking 80 mg of simvastatin. My LDL had hit 340 last fall and I had a heart attack in late December. My LDL is now down to about 100. I don't have side effects and wonder if maybe it is the diet I am on. In brief, I follow the Weston A Price approach, which relies on whole and traditional foods. I buy direct from Amish farmers and other local growers, eat only pasture-fed meat and dairy, avoid simple carbs, eat lots of salad, take cod liver oil, and freely eat saturated fats. Regardless of whether my diet has helped me cope with side-effects, it is a totally yummy diet! After 20 years of oatmeal six mornings a week, I am now eating eggs and bacon, and loving it!If you are interested in learning more, perhaps you can email me offline at moore3@....Jack> > > From: -Sophia <mss529g@...>> Subject: Re: So distressed> Lipitor > Date: Wednesday, February 2, 2011, 11:12 AM> > >  > > > > > , > > I joined the group when my mother was having problems. > > > > If I were you I would be spending my enery exploring " alternative " medicine. Guest guest
Jack, are you taking CoQ10? Sooner or later your muscles will be depleted of this no matter how healthy your diet is! Don't take that chance, because many of us who were unaware of this side effect are still dealing with the ramafications of it! Adele W.
