Guest guest Posted August 20, 2011 Report Share Posted August 20, 2011 in desperation, i paid to see a private cardiologist !! the lipitor was making me so ill, week muscles, cramps in my calves, and a muddled mind. only been taking them for 2 months. you see i never realised that so many people had the same complaints as myself. i had myasthenia gravis (which after a thymectomy many years ago is now healed) so i was desperately unhappy about the STATIN and scared stiff my muscular disease would come back. i had a heart attack 2 and a half months ago and had 2 stents put in. to cut a long story short i have stopped all meds except clopidogerol, and aspirin, and feel much stronger except for the cough from the rampril.
