Hi Dale -

I got a flu shot, but I had to tell a little lie. I checked the box

" caretaker to 6 month old or younger " . I do take care of my friend's child

occassionally, but not weekly or anything. So, it was a half-truth. When I

called they said NO, so I went in, waited in line for an hour, and just checked

the appropriate box.

I feel a little guilty, but I do feel I'm just protecting my child. She's

been through enough in her short 4 years to take this risk (and her Immunogist

said it WAS a risk)!

I do thank you Dale, for speaking out on my (and every PID Mom/Dad's) behalf!

This is the reply I received from IDF regarding the CDC guidelines.

Seems like they've done all they can and they are trying to decide upon

whether or not it is safe for parents to use the Flu-mist. If anyone

finds this on the IDF webpage -- please post it. I don't often go there

and may miss it.
