Thanks so much for the information. I had no idea about ANY of this.

is seeing Dr. Elder at Shands (University of Florida) in

Gainseville. We are in the panhandle of Florida (6 hours away). She

(Dr. Elder) is the closest pediatric immunologist to us in Florida

(with our insurance, we must stay in Florida).

He has not had any immunizations yet. My daughter had a bad reaction

to her 6 months shots and stopped breathing. We chose to wait until

was older to begin his immunizations, but he's been sick so

much, we've held off on doing that.

It makes sense that we may need to look into this further. Thank you

so much for letting me know about this - I had *no* idea.

Unfortunately, I am signing off for a while now --Hurricane Ivan is

coming quickly. This is *really* scary!! We've never been through a

hurricane like this before and it keeps getting more and more

stressful. Thankfully we have our pediatrician's pager number and

she said we could page her any time we needed her during the storm.

We'd appreciate your prayers while we go through this -- it's not

fun --

t imagine going through all that you have in the past month down there AND

going through this with your child at the same time.
