Guest guest
Though the rest of me is usually totally calm & relaxed, I find that my hands are not. They need to have something to fiddle with all the time. If I'm not typing then I'm always sorting, painting or repairing something, filing my nails, peeling off paint chips or just rearranging things that happen to be in front of me. I also seem to have above average fine motor skills and can do the most minute repairs and get it so perfect. But soon as I'm out and about I have much less body control and often drop things and knock things over. When it happens five times in just one day, it can get a bit frustrating. Anyone else have this problem? Inger
Guest guest
That's my life story! When I try to be suave I knock things over and the hand issues I have too. I also have personal space issues in the supermarket and use exaggerated gestures so that people won't get too near me. Guest guest
Definitely have to keep hands busy - even stim with hands :-) I am able to do detailed work - and yet have trouble threading a needle - I can see and do detail - but can easily get frustrated by dropping small parts when doing crafts and having difficulty picking them up. Not only do I drop things I tend to walk into things - it seems to be at home I walk into things a lot. I know where everything is and yet I still walk into door frames, walls and the sofa. Of course I can walk into things when out - especially if stressed and/or in unfamaliar environment. > > Though the rest of me is usually totally calm & relaxed, I find that my hands are not.
