Guest guest
Hi phine, thanks for your email, I am still waiting for the stone to drop, I hope to retrieve it and mount it somewhere so everyone can see it ;-) yeah I'm a saddo. All I was told when my other kidney was removed was to drink plenty of water, thing is, that sort of advice tends to get lost in the mists of time, but my mind is now concentrated and I drink plenty of water, found some lovely bottled water from Figi! yummo........ Guest guest
Hi e, Just thought I would mention that it will help if you also to drink cranberry juice. You dont have to drink it all of the time but it is highly recommended to help with kidney function and urinary track. Best wishes. Guest guest
Hi Bill, Thanks very much for this tip, I've never had any cranberry juice, hopefully I can get it sugar free, or is there a way to make it myself I wonder. I was told I was diabetic at the hospital after my stroke and I have spent the last 4 months getting my blood sugar back to normal with a low carb diet, my blood sugars are now perfect and I wouldn't want to upset that in any way. I can't imagine that cranberries would have tooo much effect if I only ate them every other day as you suggest. Once again thanks for this, Best, e From: jlkinkona <josephinepoidogs (DOT) com>Subject: [TakingLipitorAndHa teIt] Re: Scan resultsTakingLipitorAndHat eItgroups (DOT) comDate: Friday, August 29, 2008, 10:22 AM Good e. Guest guest
Speaking from experience as a diabetic for 35 yrs....because there is no sugar added there is still sugar in the fruit that is used for the juice....you would need to check the label carefully to see how many carbs are in each half cup/125 mLs.....according to my guide book that is one fruit serving, Now one serving of whole cranberries is two cups....so I would opt for the whole berries....Kay Re: S scan results eYou need to drink it, I too have trouble with my kidneys, and drinkabout 250mls a day - usually Ocean Spray. Guest guest
Hi e, Yes you can get it in sugar free. But if you like the taste of natural cranberries that would also be good. I drink the juice every so often and have not had any problems. Also if you eat alot of turkey get the canned cranberries like most people have at thanksgiving. Best wishes.
