Guest guest Posted October 2, 2006 Report Share Posted October 2, 2006 Hello to all. I am new to the group and I am wondering if any of you have had ill effects from taking Vytorin? Because I have had numerous surgeries on my back and because some of the symtoms I have had can be attributed to my back trouble, I never thought that the Vytorin was the cause. However, over the last year I have become sicker and sicker and weaker and weaker. My short term memory has deteriorated severely, my hair has become coarse and is thinning, my legs are weak, and I was nauseated as well, with loss of appetite. I went to my doctor who ordered a liver panel (first one since being on Vytorin) and every one of my liver enzymes are extremely high. I was told to stop taking the vytorin. In a matter of a week, I am already feeling better....the nausea is gone and my appetite is returning. Does this sound familiar? Carol from Mo.
