Guest guest
At the stigma that exists around Hep C. I just posted a few days ago that my four year old newly adopted son was diagnosed with Hep C. Thank you to all of you that have posted information for me. I received a call from a family member from my home town who I love dearly and I stay with every time I go home (her house was my home when I was a teenager) and spend every holiday possible with (well actually I go the call was from her oldest son) requesting that I not stay with her and find a hotel (in the town where I grew up and all my family lives) when I come up. I thought that was crazy and the excuse is that there will be too many people there but only half my family is coming and usually my whole family comes with open arms. In further investigating since I was so shocked, it appears everyone has learned from another of my family members yesterday that my son has Hep C. No one wants him around there children (which would be my son’s cousins incidentally) This may or may not seem astonishing to other people on this list, but it absolutely has thrown me for a loop. I have been crying all evening. I am just speechless over this. You can’t even transmit it through casual contact. Is this common?
