Guest guest
>Tom: "And I am giving you all fair warning. I have a premonition that this is going to be a very bad year, not just for me, but for all of us."Yep! Just got electricity, telephone (and internet), back on after being off for seventy hours. Pouring rain all last week led to raging, hurricane force (65-75 mph) winds shredding our psyche, trees (a carpet of olives), yard and buildings. Water, water, water everywhere! We are in a declared disaster! The National Guard/Blackhawk Helicopters are here! News reports that we had twenty four inches of rain! Flooding along all the rivers. Rivers where there should be streams, and streams where rabbits usually run. Three hundred thousand people powerless, the north coast devastated. And some still say there is no global warming! We hunkered down by many candle lights after dark. We had it easy and enjoyed the less dramatic moments, like photographing running water in what is pretty much a overly warm semi-desert environment. I'll post a picture next. We are traumatized, but damply healthy. Rainbow
