As long as Bush remains in office, nothing is going to

change because he is so deep in their pocket. It has

fascinated me how this so-called conservative has

decided to abandon the principle of free market

competition (which is central to real conservatives)

to grant the pharmcos the dispensation from

competition under the medicare prescription program.

Not allowing the government to negotiate for lower

prices is beyond appalling. It is a PAYOFF to his rich

contributors.

He is doing the same thing with his efforts to

federalize tort law by relieving doctors of being held

fully responsible for their malpractice. Claiming that

non-economic damages in malpractice suits is the cause

of the rapidly rising malpractice premiums, he tosses

conservative principles right out the window by asking

that jurors in our individuals counties and states be

prevented by federal law from deciding what

compensation to pay an innocent victim of malpractice.

So much for his phony belief in small government.

The truth is that malpractice verdicts have had

little, if any, influence on malpractice premiums

shooting up with the resulting problems for doctors.

Those increases are more than anything else the result

of greed on the part of the insurance companies who

have used excessive verdicts and " frivolous " lawsuits

as the Bush equivalent of WMDs. In both cases, they

are full of hoo ha. Lying for the sake of profit.

Where are the real conservatives who want to let the

individuals have the power over their own lives and

not let the federal government reign supreme over all

of our lives?

Just asking.

Bill

Bill,

We are here but what are we to do? Vote them out? The elections are

rigged and the so called liberals play the same game! I am for starting

a new political party but the powers that be are so entrenched that is

all but impossible to do.
