Guest guest
, you just may want to call their billing department and ask why if they send it monthly that you are required to pay a copay weekly. This seems to be a way for them to increase their revenue and may be a billing process that is fraudulent. This falls under Hippa, I think, or other health care reform. See what your response is there, with just asking why you are paying a weekly copay for something you receive monthly…..see where that takes you, then you can mention,”fraudulent billing practices, etc and see what happens. We, as healthcare professionals have been given info on some of this, and the manner of billing can be fraud, your facility should have phone numbers posted of who to call if you suspect fraud/problems. You may want to call that number also. Hope that helps. Our company sends us a month's supply of Carimune, but we infuse it ourselves weekly. They are billing weekly, which means that we are paying FOUR co-pays per month instead of ONE. This doesn't seem right when the infusion company is only touching it once a month. Is this standard? I know we are lucky to have insurance covering all of this, but we live on a tight budget! If we can get them to change this then I want to try. Thanks! Guest guest
Our company (Accredo) bills every two weeks. They send us two weeks worth of product and then submit those charges to insurance. I haven't figured out yet how much a gram it is running. IV ran about 180 to 200 per gram.
