She is not eating-she is drinking, but today she started in with a fever-about 101. Do you have a bed buddy? It's the one you heat up in the microwave. The heat will help with the pain along with the tylenol. My daughter had numerous ear infections and I don't know what we would have done without the bed buddy. It's just right and she can lay on it quite comfortably. Make sure she drinks so she doesn't get dehydrated. Guest guest
It has been awhile since Maddie has had an ear infection-tubes are a wonderful thing-but we have one now. She has had 4 doses of antibiotic, plus ear drops (antibiotic) and is still SCREAMING with pain. We have given her tylenol 2, and she is still extremely uncomfortable. I called the dr back and they said to wait 24 more hours, but she is miserable-Any suggestions? She is not eating-she is drinking, but today she started in with a fever-about 101. She did not have a fever yesterday when we went to the dr. Becky in IN-mom to Maddie, IgA def, gerd, asthma, mild cp, ......and the list goes on. Becky, I would take her to the ENT to make sure her tubes aren't blocked. Once that happens, it's like they don't have ear tubes at all. I hope you find an answer quickly!! Sandi, Mom to , age 11. Guest guest
Becky: Does she have an outer ear infection as well (swimmer's ear)? I've known a couple kids lately that have had swimmer's ear and it seemed soooo much more painful than even a bad middle ear infection. I would guess there are more nerve cells in the canal? Anyway, it's a thought. Hope she's better soon -- (mom to , age 5-1/2, dairy intolerant-related GERD -- currently has polysaccharide antibody def, previously had transient IgG, IgA, t-cell & other defs... and also to Kate, born 9/19/02, dairy intolerant)

For Brittany, it is the opposite, middle ear is worse. Janet, mom to Brittany, CVID, age
