Lipton - an Aspie?

I wonder if Lipton (of Actors' Studio interview series) an Aspie?

1. His voice is amazingly monotonous even when he's clearly excited about a

guest. The most extreme emotion he'll ever display is a discreet smile when

he's really delighted.

2. He rarely re-connects with the interviewee after s/he has replied to a

question. More social interviewers like Parkinson or Jay Leno always make an

appropriate (or appropriately inappropriate) comment or a follow-up question

so that it becomes more like a smooth conversation with pleasantries going

back and forth than an interview.

But Lipton just darts out the next question on his laundry list as if doing

a tax audit or police interrogation, which cuts the harmonious flow into a

bit of a staccato, but also keeps things on track, gets all the person's

films commented on in a limited time and precludes the interview sailing

away into non-productive chattiness or irrelevant side-tracks.

Very special kind of charm.
